Nobuyoshi ARAKI Kumamoto Lullaby
|
Kumamoto Contemporary Art Museum (CAMK) presents an exhibition by one of the world’s most famous Japanese photographer, Nobuyoshi ARAKI. This is the first significant and large scale exhibition of his work to be held in Kyusyu. For this exhibition, ARAKI took new series Mother and Child in Kumamoto, which is composed by 40 groups of Mother and child who was born after 2007 in the nuddy. ARAKI also dedicated new painted flower series, Colored Sensual Flower, to Mother and Child. |

The exhibition will also focus on other work in series, such as Satchin and His Brother Mabo(1962), Sentimental Journey/Winter Journey(1971-1991), Food(1993,2001), Life by Leica(1999), Woman from Toyama(2000),Family from ‘Japanese Faces’ project(2002-2004), Tokyo Summer Story(2003), and selection of Dairy, Flower, Polaroids, Arakinema.
