 Rieko Saibara’s career as a cartoonist has reached for quarter of a century.
We pleased to show every aspects of her attractiveness. We will exhibit her original pictures, photographic materials, and articles left by Yutaka Kamoshida, her former husband…and show many events as the background for her works.

Rieko Saibara
 Rieko Saibara was born in 1964, in Kochi. She studied at Musashino Art University. She made her professional debut in 1988 with Chikuro Yochien WEEKLY YOUNG SUNDAY. She was awarded the Bungeishunjû Manga Award in 1997 for Bokunchi, the Excellence Prize of the Japan Media Arts Festival’s Manga awards in 2004 for Mainichi Kasan, the Short Story Award of Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize for Jôkyô monogatari and Mainichi Kasan, the VOGUE NIPPON Women of the Year 2010, The President of the House of Councilors Prize of Japan Cartoonists Association Award in 2011 for Mainichi Kasan.
