When a pencil that we all have usually used as a writing implement has been used as a tool in painting, it emerges that the sort of its familiar and affluence of potential ability.
This time, we would like to introduce art works which are portraited by Susumu Kinoshita and Yoshio Yoshimura who are fascinated by a pencil.
Kinoshita faces to the paper with a pencil on his hand for 14 hours on a day. On the other hand, Yoshimura draws self-portrait on the over 1000 pieces of the old newspapers.
You will understand the power of a pencil which is also able to say that is the sum of daily effort by hand. Also, Kinoshita has drawing a portrait which is precisely like a model and Yoshimura has concentrating on drawing a self-portrait. The former probes the inner side subjectively. He draws the model as he maintains a standoff against him (her) and the latter draws the self-portrait as he captured himself objectively. After compared their works, we would like to read and see their ideas.
